We reported that Microsoft was working on a streaming device that would allow gamers to play games on a display device without a console. Microsoft recently confirmed its existence, but it still seems to have a long way to go.
According to Windows Central, the project, codenamed Keystone, is a small device that can connect to any monitor or TV and play games by using Game Pass's cloud streaming feature.
However, according to VGC, a Microsoft spokesperson said that while it did exist, the development team was not happy with it, had been rethinking its development and decided to scrap the current version of the project.
"We will learn from our experience and refocus our efforts on a new approach that will allow us to bring Xbox Cloud gaming to more players around the world," he said.
